Nearby Things to Do

Here are some ideas of things to do if you would like to make your trip into a vacation! Some are close by; others are an adventure.

Very Close By Activites

• Travel Town - This is a train museum located in Griffith Park. It’s very close to the Burbank Hotels and great for kids.
• Los Angeles Zoo - This is also in Griffith Park and is very close to the Burbank Hotels.
• Universal Studios - This is the theme park and Universal City Walk with restaurants and shopping.
• Paramount Studio Tour - private/small guided tour of Paramount studio where you might see real sets and scenes being filmed.
• La Brea Tar Pits - Part of the LA Natural History Museum. You can see the pits and things they pulled out. Great for Dinosaur lovers.
• California Science Center - Science Museum with fun kid friendly activites.
• Getty Center - Famous Art Museum. The gardens are also well known and quite beautiful.

Nearby, but a bit of a drive

• DisneyLand - Need I say more? This is a little bit of a drive from all the hotels, but can be done easily as a day trip.
• Aquarium of the Pacific - In Long Beach, the Aquarium is a lot of fun. If you go, I highly recommend the behind the scenes tour. It’s not that much more expensive, but you get to see a lot more, and have some great hands on experiences. This one is also doable as a day trip.
• Descanso Gardens - Beautiful botanical garden and sometimes has special events.

Not close, but doable if you want an adventure. (Can be done in a day, but it would be a very long day)

• Legoland - Lego Theme Park.
• San Diego Zoo and Safari Park - Formally known as the Wild Animal Park, you get to go on a Safari and see animals not in cages.
• Seaworld San Diego - If the Aquarium of the Pacific isn’t enough for you there’s always Seaworld.
